A Mothers Day Craft that Says I Love You
A
Mothers Day craft
is a heartwarming way to send best wishes to your mom and most kids enjoy taking the time to make
a craft for their mommy. A craft can be made at school or at home and can be pretty well
anything – be it a card, a mobile, fingerprints, a tissue paper flower, etc. Making a craft for
your mother can be turned into a fun, enjoyable afternoon for the kids. Bake up some cookies and
pour some juice and then get to work on a creative crafty gift to say "I Love You Mom!" Putting on
some music should get you in the mood to make a special gift for your one and only mother. If you
are only somewhat crafty then make sure you have lots of help designing a craft.
What Mothers Day crafts are the most appealing to mothers, or your mother in particular? The
answer is a simple one – anything goes. For a young child a picture drawn for mommy using crayons,
colored pencils or markers, whether it be a picture of "me and mom" or
"mommy and the whole family"
or a picture of the child's home or one of mommy's favorite things such as a horse, a garden, or a
cat, is a wonderful gift that is sure to bring about lots of hugs, kisses and enormous smiles.
For an older child, a craft such as a butterfly mobile, a placemat, a fancy card using glitter gel
or some homemade
soaps
or coupons is sure to delight any mother. Another nice thing to do is to make a Mothers Day mural.
This is excellent as a group Mothers Day project for all of the children in the family. Allow each
child to choose a section of the paper and then let them draw whatever they choose for their
mother. Perhaps the picture will be of the town they live in and show their mother shopping or
driving the car or maybe it will be something entirely different. Let your imagination and your
creativity take over when it comes to a craft for your mother!
