Begin your craft for Mothers Day by cutting the doily into the shape of a heart and then turn it into a flower by adding a cut stem and leaves. Then place the child's handprint on top of the doily. Next, glue the flower craft onto a piece of construction paper (pick your mother's favorite color) and add this special note to your mother:

A Mothers Day craft that any mother would fall in love with is a decorative jar to use for candy, hairclips, pins, cotton balls or whatever else mom chooses. Wash and dry out a baby food jar and then using a non-toxic paint of your choice spray the lid. Take one of your mother's favorite pictures or drawings – maybe from mothers day of last year –and cut only enough of it to fit on the jar. Now carefully brush the outer part of the jar with Modge Podge and then put the drawing over it, making sure to not have any bubbles under the surface. Now use the Modge Podge once again to brush over top of the drawing. Next make the jar sparkle by adding some glitter to the outside of it. Allow the jar to dry and then drop a couple of Hershey Kisses inside of it for mom and tell her that it is her Mothers Day present, right from your heart to hers!
